Polignano a Mare

Polignano a Mare, a magical town perched on a cliff high above the sea, offers an enchantingview of narrow lanes, rocky crags and corners “painted blue”, as Domenico Modugno, the singer from Polignano, used to say in his internationally famous song (“Nel blu dipinto di blu”).

The visit starts at the bridge of the ancient Trajan Road that overlooks the “Lama Monachile”, and leads to the ancient village with its historic buildings and balconies facing the sea.
