Gallipoli, the Beautiful City

The historical centre of Gallipoli is perched on a small island, linked to the coast by an ancient stone bridge and dominated by the Angevin Castle.

The city walls rise sheer above the sea and the narrow alleys abound with the little churches of the Confraternities as well as the exuberant Cathedral, with its carparo façade and magnificent17thcentury paintings housed inside.

Greek Fountain, Castle (the outside) and Rivellino, St. Agatha Cathedral, Church of Purity, houses with courtyards, churches of the Confraternities, underground oil mill (entrance fee).
