Specchia, one of ‘the Prettiest Villages in Italy’

Explore the old town centre of Specchia, which has recently been included in the list of the Prettiest Villages in Italy.

Specchia has the typical urban planning of the Middle Ages with numerousnarrow streets, stairways, lanes and courts. All of this was built around the castle that would later become Risolo Palace during the 16thcentury.

The town of Specchia boasts a great many noble palaces and religious buildings in the Baroque style, for example, the Main Church.  In the surrounding countryside, there is also the stunning Church of St. Euphemia.
