Ostuni, the White Town

Ostuni is known as “the White Town” because of its traditional houses, which are white-washed every year. It preserves a picturesque historical town centre, with narrow streets, lanes and small stairwaysin the shadow ofthe Cathedral built at the turn of the sixteen century.

Porta Nova (New Gate), Aragonese City Walls, San Vito Martire Church (also known as Le Monacelle) and the Archaeological Museum (Museo Archeologico delle Civiltà Preclassiche della Murgia Meridionale – entrance ticket), the Cathedral, Piazza Libertà and St. Oronzo Column.
