Since the Middle Ages, the Santa Maria de Finibus Terrae Sanctuary in Leuca has been a religiousdestination. It was built on top of a pre-existing Roman temple dedicated to the goddess Minerva.Today, this distant frontier of Italy, stretching towards the sea, stands with its impressive lighthouse, the Apulian Aqueduct Memorial Waterfall and the magnificent 19th century villas.
